Affiliations
Below is a list of the clubs and projects I worked on as an undergraduate student at Cal Poly.
Cal Poly Racing
Society of Automotive Engineers, BAJA
As a member of Cal Poly racing, I gained a significant amount of hands-on experience developing technical engineering and interpersonal skills with other members. Spending many hours in the machine shop working on these parts has contributed to the development of my engineering skills and showcased the importance of teamwork in the pursuit of a common goal.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers
Student Design Competition Team
The Cal Poly chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers organizes design competitions, networking opportunities, and other student events. As a member of the Student Design Competition Team, our goal was to create a product that could meet the requirements of the annually determined problem statement. For the 2019 competition, our team designed and manufactured a robotic prototype that was able to quickly secure a variety of objects and return them to a specified area.
Cal Poly Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship
The Hatchery
Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship's incubator program, The Hatchery, provides various student activities, faculty mentorship, and other resources to help students kickstart their companies. During my time working with the center, I learned to lead a small team in producing a consumer-to-consumer marketplace mobile application. This mobile app aimed to allow students to sell, buy, and trade textbooks and other learning materials at affordable prices while promoting the reuse of lightly used products.
